Is there more than just one method to unlock Galaxy S6

It is not an uncommon fact that majority of the smartphone companies sell their phones at a subsidized rate by locking them to a particular network. It is because these less expensive phones will increase the demand of the handset and facilitate the overall sales. And, as consumers you will end up buying a product that is saving a lot of your expense, right?

But, after a few years of using it, you might want to change the network online service in case you are moving abroad, you will require a new SIM card. In such a case, you will have to unlock your phone from the previous network before you decide to switch to the new one. For unlocking your Samsung Galaxy S6 from the locked network, you will require the unlock codes. So, if you are looking for how to proceed with the unlocking procedure, then follow the steps given below.

You can get unlock codes for Samsung Galaxy S6 by opting for either of these two methods stated below.

1.You can avail any of the online services of unlocking for free where the team of experts will help you to derive your unlock codes from a registered website. The process is extremely easy and less time-consuming. Root your device and open the webpage of the online service and select ‘Android SIM Unlock’ feature which will be present in the ‘Tools’ or ‘More Tools’ option.

Now, connect the handset to the computer via USB cable. The website will automatically detect your phone. As it detects, click on the ‘Android Root’ option. The website will take a few seconds to find out the best rooting option for your device. In a few seconds, a popup will appear and you have to click on ‘Root Now’.

As the rooting process gets over, click on ‘Unlock’ and the website will automatically unlock your SIM. This process will take some time, and in the meanwhile, your phone will auto-restart. Allow that to happen by keeping your phone connected to the PC via USB until the process gets completed.

2.The second method is the old-school method of receiving unlock codes, which might take a few hours to 3 working days. You can do this either by paying a fee in advance to the authorised company or by participating in sponsored offer options which are provided by various e-payment services.

When you create an account on the registered company webpage, select your handset’s brand and model and go to the option ‘Unlock Now’. Fill in the details such as nationality and the network from which you want to unlock the device. You will also have to fill a form where you need to put the IMEI 15 digit code of your handset which you can get by dialling *#06# from your phone or it will be available below the battery. Add your registered email ID and wait for a few days to receive the unlock codes by mail.

Root the device and enter the unlock code. In doing so, you are unlocked from the previous network and now you can put in the new SIM card of your preferred network.
